How is the ISEE administered at Prometric offices?
Prometric administers all portions of the ISEE, including the essay, on secure computers at their offices. The offices will provide scratch paper for students to use during the test, but only the computer responses will be recorded.
Prometric test centers are not reserved exclusively for ISEE Online administrations; the student's parent or guardian is required to stay onsite for the duration of the test. There are no exceptions to this rule. There may be
other students/adults taking a variety of online tests at the same time as ISEE Online administrations. The standard timing will last about three and a half hours. To view the experience of the testing environment for the ISEE at a

What if my student has a documented learning difference and requires testing with accommodations?
At this time, Prometric offices offer accommodations - Extended Time - Time And A Half or Double Time. The essay is automatically typed at Prometric but there is no spell check available. Handwriting the essay is not an option at Prometric. The
accommodations review/approval process can take up to three weeks. Extended Time will last over five hours. Double Time will last over seven hours. A student with a documented disability may be eligible for accommodations on the ISEE at Prometric if the student:
- Has a disability that necessitates testing accommodations,
- Has complete and specific documentation that establishes a current need for the requested accommodation(s),
- Currently receives and utilizes the requested accommodations, due to the disability, on a regular basis for school-based testing in the student’s present school environment.
